La la laaaa

Ok, so where the heck did all this snow come from all of a sudden? Anyways, I saw a very interesting movie tonight with my boyfriend. It's called Donnie Darko. It's about this extra ordinary kid who is very integligent and a bunch of events happen in his life leading him to these extreem things happening. As well as time travel. It sounds weird but it makes you think. I still dont really fully understand the ending of it. But I think those are the best kind of movies, the ones that make you think. I don't wanna give away the whole movie so you should watch it! Here's the link to it if you wanna check it out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donnie_Darko.

IKEA

Today consisted of IKEA and lots of swedish meatballs. IKEA is a international home products retailer at low prices. Basicaly every home in sweden consist of stuff from IKEA. Of course it was founded in sweden. After IKEA I did some shoe shopping. Thats about it for today.

Saturday, February 23, 2008

Typical swedish food is pizza, kebab, hotdogs, hamburgers, and falafels (fastfood). Then there's the sandwiches for breakfast or kefir and cereal. On the sandwiches you would put ham and cheese in a tube, caviar in a tube with hard boiled eggs(see image), liverworst, ham or messmör. Then theres the swedish meatballs, potatoes with lingonsylt( lingon sauce) or shrimp salad. Of course theres the salmon and what not too. Then theres the treats like kanelbulla(see image) and kladkaka. I'm sure im forgetting stuff, but those are what i like.
YUMMMMM I love swedish food!!

International Business...

International business is my dream job. I want to be able to travel the world and get paid for it as well as be a powerful business women. I want to go to China, Africa, Germany, several other places through out the world and do business and meet other corporate people. I like the whole getting paid to travel thing and I love to talk and prove my point right or is the best. I wanna run people and a company. I wanna be the reason the business I work for is well know through out the world. I guess i kind of got the traveling thing down a little bit, but theres still lots more or places I still need to see and well i dont get paid to do it.

High Security at banco...

Ok, so we get here today and we need money. If you go to a foreX or a place like that they take like 8 percent(i cant find the button for the sign) haha. So we go to a bank and holy crap security there. You step in a revolving door that scans you up and down for metal and if your good the other side opens if not they dont let you in. Before you go into the bank you have to take out your cellphone, keys, etc. into this locker right outside the bank and theres security guard behind this glass. Then you can reclaim everything on the way out. Theres nothing like this in America. Lots of sight seeing to do tomorrow and then Pompeii on thursday.

ps I'm uber tired

Then took a stroll through Hide Park i believe or maybe it was Kensington(it was so nice). I had Thai for dinner which was very good and then this amazing chocolate cake at a little cafe on th corner. I'm pooped and about to go to sleep, night!

Oh I forgot the best part of my morning I left my homework in the rental car so I had to run back and get that after we checked in. We landed and the hotel we were suppose to stay at was fully booked so we went around for like an hour trying to find some place to sleep. Well I should go to bed it's almost 2. Nighty Night

Jet Set...

Well all my packings done I leave in about 15 min i figured I'd get my blogging done for the day. I feel like I'm forgetting something of course but have no idea what that might be. So anyways, gym class was intense today except when people cheat! That just makes me so mad. Like hello you got tagged your out do the fricken push ups. But of course no people just go on like they didn't get tagged or "too good". I also hate cheaters in gym class and the kids that just stand around and don't do anything. I know people out there agree with me and know what I'm talking about. Anyways, I better get going.....I'll be blogging and putting up pictures when I can.

Valentines Day!!!

Yay! Valentines day. It was defiently a good day my wonderful boyfriend bought my a teddy bear, flowers, candy, and a balloon. He loved the cupcakes if you were all wondering. This day got me thinking, how much chocolate on average is sold on valentines day and of course i looked it up and it was about $1 billion worth of valentines day chocolates is sold on this day. Just a fun fact for you all. Also the United States consumes a little over $13 billion per year. Thats a lot of chocolate and a lot of money to be spent on it.

Happy Valentines Day to everyone!

Soooo, Yay for the snow day today. Even though i have no idea where the day went. All i did was go to the mall, eat lunch, bake yummy cupcakes for my valentine aka my boyfriend:) and went to work. Not much excitement today I'm really tired for some reason, but i usually am. I haven't even started packing yet, so i should probably get on that. So all and all today was a pretty boring snow day and work made my legs really sore. The best part of my day was baking delicious strawberry heart shaped cup cakes and decorating them. I'm pumped for valentines day tomorrow!( I<3MyBoyfriend!) haha.

Sweden is better at driving than America....

So of course im going to talk about sweden, because i've gotta represent. Anyways, getting your drivers license now theres a topic that im sure you all know very little about. Its a pain right in the butt to get your swedish drivers licesne. You can start to practice driving or "övningskörning" at the age of 16, but you cannnot take your drivers test until you are 18 and you can only sign up for it as long as you havent gotten in any trouble with the swedish police( we dont want an criminals, so theres deff. a background check). So basically you name needs to be clean. "Körkortstillstånd" which is a permit is the next thing you need to be able to practice driving. To get this, you need to go get another paper which testifies that your eyesight and hearing are up to par. After taking exams for this exams, which you can do that the eye doctors. You send this paper to the authority in control of roads and traffic in Sweden, "Vägverket". A few weeks later, your "körkortstillstånd" comes in the mail. So now you wanna get your license right. Well you can either go to a driving school(which is what most people do) or have your parents teach you. The down fall with driving school is its gonna cost you about $70. To take the test its gonna cost about $150. You take a 6 hour driving test, that has an ice test, driving around parkign different places, driving on a high way with lots of traffic, going round a circle and parellel parking between 2 cars and such is involved. Then theres the 70 question quiz you need to take. So after all thats done and over with, Yay! you got your license as long as you do well on all those parts. Of course this is why Swedes are better drivers then American, when we do things we do it right.

So yea getting your license in sweden HUGE pain in the butt!
